FILM TASTING approached us to rethink the blog for high-quality writing and low-frequency publication. Historically, the challenge with traditional designs for blogs is two folds - one, the optimization for designing an experience for a large content database, and two, a tendency to bias towards either visuals or text, and not balance both.
We pitched a "volume"-based design, inspired by print newsletters, driven by striking visuals on the minimalist home page but makes room for extended writing in content pages, aligned with how the editorial team approaches content creation.
